LiCONiC is the first to implement a shovel based handling system, which transport plates by loading them on an extendable surface (shovel). LiCONiC's line of Plate Hotels use this unique design that allows random access at extremely high speed. This handling accepts most plate types without modification, training, or adaptation. Even simultaneous use of various plate types is possible. As the common interface of the Plate Hotels and the robotic environment a transfer-station is located outside the instrument.
